Puma is bringing it back to the year 1983 when Ralph Sampson signed with the brand as the number 1 NBA draft pick, making him the highest profile basketball signing since Walt Clyde Frazier. The eventual member of the basketball hall of fame first played in a pair of prototypes for a couple of games before he received his signature sneaker. It was based on a puma basketball model from the 70 and featured a Puma contact tooling, a technology the brand often used in the 1970s. Today, Puma is retrieving the prototype shoes, while granted it a new name, the Ralph Sampson 70. The shoe comes in both a mid-and low-top model. The Ralph Sampson 70 mid OG features a full leather upper, with suede formstripe and toe overlay, bringing back the shoe with its original specifications. Leather upper. Round toe. Lace-up. Padded insole. Rubber sole. Spot clean
